Impact Factor 3. The Analytical Chemistry section publishes significant findings and major advances in all branches of analytical and bioanalytical chemistry, including concepts in chemical measurement science, sample treatment, instrumentation, separation, sensing and imaging. Articles may be entirely theoretical with regard to analysis or they may report the application of new analytical methods to solve important biochemical, biomedical, environmental, forensic and clinical diagnostic problems. Congratulations to our authors, reviewers and editors for accelerating new knowledge and solutions — and for helping everyone to live great lives on a healthy planet.
Areas covered by the section, include but are not limited to:. The section requires that the reported methods and technologies are sufficiently innovative and robust compared to other available methods and that systems are demonstrated with real samples. All manuscripts must be submitted directly to the section Analytical Chemistry, where they are peer-reviewed by the Associate and Review Editors of the specialty section. Articles published in the section Analytical Chemistry will benefit from the Frontiers impact and tiering system after online publication. Authors of published original research with the highest impact, as judged democratically by the readers, will be invited by the Chief Editor to write a Frontiers Focused Review - a tier-climbing article.
This is referred to as " democratic tiering ". The author selection is based on article impact analytics of original research published in all Frontiers specialty journals and sections. Focused Reviews are centered on the original discovery, place it into a broader context, and aim to address the wider community across all of Chemistry.
